UK lags behind Europe in flexible working

In a recent survey, 58 per cent of UK workers said that their firm has no flexible working policy in place at all.

Only 22 per cent revealed that they work for a business with a solid flexible working policy in place.

Recruitment site Monster conducted the survey asking 1078 workers throughout the UK whether their company allows them to work flexi-time, with it producing disappointing results going against the recent change in flexible working law.

With many UK businesses forced to implement pay freezes, flexible working is a relatively easy and cheap way to reward and motivate staff and help encourage employee loyalty. However, it seems that businesses are yet to realise these benefits.
