New research indicates small businesses that abandon flexible working, do so at their peril.
A study of more than 1000 small and medium-sized enterprises suggests that mobile working enables business success. However, less than 40 per cent of small businesses are equipped for mobile working. There is a real risk that businesses will steer away from flexible working during the economic downturn.
Peter Thomson, founder of the Future Work Forum, believes that smarter working practices for businesses can save costs, as well as improving efficiency. Also, flexible working technology solutions can make small teams more productive, which increase their chance of surviving the downturn.
The survey showed that there are many advantages in mobile working for businesses; however, many of them see it as nothing more than an employee benefit, which is simply not true!
