Kellogg’s has announced that it will offer its staff the opportunity to take part in a flexible working scheme this summer.
This allows staff who have completed a full week’s hours to finish work at midday on Friday as part of its summer hours scheme.
It’s the sixth year the initiative has been in operation, with all 600 office-based workers being eligible to participate.
According to figures, 82 per cent of workers reported feeling happier in their jobs because of the scheme.
Karen Meehan, Kellog’s European human resources vice president, states that due to the flexible working policy they don’t have to worry about unauthorised sickness absence, which is something many businesses suffer from during the summer.
