VoIP should be used to save money

More organisations should make use of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and utilise WiFi for business calls.

This would help them reduce some of the £264 million which is being wasted each year by companies on mobile phone calls.

This comes after research revealed that mobile spend in a lot of organisations had “crept up”.

Many organisations have held back over using their WiFi to handle voice applications and business internet solutions because of fears about cost, but VoIP has been proven to cut costs.

The majority of people in the UK have WiFi broadband routers to their laptops, with there being no reason why they shouldn’t be used to carry mobile calls from their homes into the office at no cost at all using WiFi providers.

Research revealed that large enterprises were wasting more than £200,000 per year on mobile calls.
