According to a survey by Motorola, European consumers believe that mobile technology is enhancing their work-life balance rather than overloading them with communications.
The survey polled 3,500 Europeans of working age in France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
Nearly eight out of 10 believed that mobile technology had helped to integrate their personal and professional lives, and two-thirds claimed this integration had brought a better balance to their life.
The advancement of mobile technology has allowed for a greater use of remote workers. Smartphones, such as the ones developed by Blackberry, allow employees to stay in contact with the office from any location.
This means employees are able to work from home easier, improving their work-life balance and decreasing the need for them to deal with troublesome commutes to the office.
It seems the way forward is for organisations to recognise the benefits of mobile technology and develop solutions that take advantage of this, improving the work-life balance of employees.
