Major ISP offers faster mobile broadband

Faster mobile broadband speeds are being offered by major internet service provider (ISP) Virgin Media.

This will potentially enable customers and businesses to have more efficient use of VoIP solutions, which will allow for the wider implementation of smarter working practices in businesses.

Most mobile broadband packages still only offer connection speeds of around 3.6 megabits per second (Mbps), but Virgin Media’s mobile broadband will deliver speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.

The faster speeds could encourage more people to connect to the internet from a laptop out of the office, making full use of remote working and adding to the productivity of the workforce.

Mobile broadband is a great way of staying connected to business colleagues on the move and will make the process of remote working a speedier and more pleasant experience for customers and businesses.

The ISP recently launched a 50Mbps fixed-line broadband service and plans to increase this speed in the future.
