Remote working boosts productivity but managers don’t trust workers

Research conducted by YouGov on behalf of BT and Nortel indicates that just eight per cent of UK businesses trust their employees to work out of the office, despite 42 per cent of workers saying they could do a better job working remotely.

The findings suggest that managers are reluctant to move people away from desk-based operations, described by BT and Nortel as “outdated working models.”
