BT finds UK SMEs boosted by broadband

New research from BT Business, conducted with 7200 small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), has revealed that 61% believe faster broadband ISP speeds and services have had a positive impact on their business.

Those involved in the research indicated that the faster broadband let to better web sites, e-commerce, remote working and mobile devices, all of which were beneficial to the business.

One in three would choose flexible working options ahead of a pay rise

If businesses are running out of ways to incentivise their staff then one good way would be to offer them flexible working, which could save £10-20 a day on travel.

According to new research from BT business, over half of employees have been working from home since the financial crisis began, with nearly two-thirds finding themselves financially better off as a result.
