Swindon residents to get free WiFi access

Swindon’s residents are to have access to free internet access after the local borough struck a deal to provide WiFi for the town.

Users of the service will likely be restricted to the amount of time they can have free access and will have to register for the service. But they’ll also be able to upgrade to a faster download speed of 20MB for a cost that Swindon Borough Council said would be lower than rival broadband services.
